In this study we will explore their historical origins, their meaning in Jewish life, and how they appear throughout the Old and New Testaments. We approach them as students—listening carefully to Jewish scholarship and tradition. Through this respectful study, Christians can gain a richer understanding of Scripture and the world in which Jesus lived.
